Summer turns as Autumn yeilds
Adorns her glorious cape
Red wine warmed held in our cups
As we plan our great escape
Nearly empty or glass half full
Your smile across the room
Take my hand lead me to bed
Night air in window looms
Read away the light of day
Ocean filled tales on seas
Hair dishevelled, laughter small
As you read so quietly
Moon looks down from kingdom high
Curtains shiver
Cars pass by
Quiet our thoughts from time inside
A quiet life now in which we hide
