Heathen wild

There bathed in moonlight she danced
The wind in her hair and a spring in her steps
A pulchritudinous sparkling soul
Light flickered in her wild eyes
The ground moist at her naked feet
Bathed in the moonlight
And she let out a laugh that could be heard all the while down the valley
Nothing could contain her spirit
No man nor beast could tame her
She was born in the equinox of dawn long gone
Bathed in the moonlight
Her face pale and glowing
The scars on her heart thrown out to the wind like ashes on a fire
Iridescent wings of silver
Not a care in the world
Not a tear in her eye
Bathed in the moonlight
Dancing with the stars
She called to the night larks as they cackled through the skies
A deity of the misty night
She lay beneath the silhouettes of druids
Until finally sleep found her
A long deep sleep she'd waited so long to find her
and she slept in the moonlight
Bathed in the moonlight
